Sizing Tip: To measure around your pet’s neck, use a soft piece of tape, yarn, or similar material. Be sure to allow for two fingers between the material and your pets neck to assure comfort. Once you determine the length with this material, hold it against a measuring tape, ruler, etc. to determine the size you will need. When you receive your collar, the length, at full adjusted extension, will include end-to-end the plastic buckle. If you are very close to the larger end of the size, for example 15” for a small collar, we recommend ordering the next larger size. Our collars have a good deal of adjustment, and will generally adjust down to a size less than the fully extended length of the smaller size. For example, a medium collar should adjust down to 14” in length, and then up to 19”.
To measure for a harness, follow the same process, but measure behind your pet’s front legs, and up around to the top of the back. This is the ‘Girth’. Again, please allow for a two fingers between the harness and your pet’s skin to assure comfort.
If you need an extra small collar, or extra large collar, please e-mail us and we will produce it for you quickly. We carry X-Small and X-Large, but do not always advertise their availability.
